Welcome to RISING VOICES, a dynamic and empowering youth leadership and communication program offered by Sprouting Youth, following the renowned Toastmasters Gavel Club format. Designed specifically for middle school students in grades 6 to 8, this program aims to help young individuals unlock their full potential as effective communicators and leaders. Through a variety of engaging activities and interactive sessions, participants will develop vital skills that will benefit them in various aspects of their lives.

In RISING VOICES, you will:

1. Deliver Prepared Speeches: Develop the art of crafting and delivering impactful speeches. Learn how to structure your ideas, use persuasive techniques, and captivate your audience with your words.
2. Evaluate and Provide Constructive Feedback: Hone your skills in evaluating speeches and providing valuable feedback to speakers. Develop the ability to provide constructive criticism that helps others improve their communication skills.
3. Excel in Impromptu Speaking: Sharpen your ability to think on your feet and deliver impromptu speeches. Learn to express your thoughts clearly and confidently in spontaneous situations.
4. Embrace Leadership Roles: Take on various leadership roles within the club, such as serving as the emcee for meetings, ah counter, grammarian, joke teller, impromptu leader, or general evaluator. Gain hands-on experience in managing meetings, facilitating discussions, and providing leadership to the club.
5. Cultivate Effective Listening Skills: Enhance your ability to actively listen and engage with others. Learn techniques for attentive listening, comprehension, and effective response.
6. Foster a Supportive and Positive Environment: Embrace the spirit of camaraderie and mutual support within the club. Encourage fellow members and create a safe space for personal and professional growth.
